Customer Street really gets me down
Well actually its not Customer Street that gets me down but the idiots out there with their tiny little businesses that spout utter nonsense on their blogs about the problems they perceive with our service without ever having tried it. Clearly they are just taking cheap shots to make themselves look good.
The Customer Street network has over 150 portals that make up our traffic and we produce over 10,000,000 (yes ten million!) contacts for our subscribers every month.
In terms of paid subscribers we are second only to Yell.com in the directory business and well ahead of many of our more higher profile competition.
Our customer websites called Rapidsites are hugely successful and over 30,000 feature prominently on the search engines in the places our customers want them to.
No company in Europe builds more websites, week in, week out but yet I still read such nonsense as posted on some rubbish forum called the "UK Business Forum". Unfortunately a few competitors can take advantage of how Google and other search engines make up their listings and post lies under false names and purport to be speaking the truth and we just have to tolerate it.
I shouldn't let it get me down but I have been reading this sort of rubbish that comes and goes for the last three years and it doesn't stop hurting either me or the rest of the hard-working team at Customer Street.
When these idiots talk about us proving our results and say we don't list what we are doing in fact we certainly do. We are currently listing over 120 of our products on the CustomerStreet.com website and furthermore you will find our customers throughout the generic Google, MSN and Yahoo listings. We don't make any guarantees to them despite the claims, we just work hard to make sure that their content is relevant and well presented and then the search engine algorithms do the rest.
Now lets take an independent test as well to back up what I am saying. Take a look at Alexa.com which is a well respected traffic monitoring site. You will see that I have pre-completed the ufindus.com name, now try typing in thomsonlocal.com in the second box and press compare and see how Ufindus traffic has overtaken the second most well known player in the directory market. Now think about this, Ufindus.com is just one of a network of over 150 sites that carry traffic to our subscribers.
In addition we generate millions and millions of hits directly to our customers through the building of their very own Rapidsite. This traffic is not included in Alexa but it comes because of what we do.
Try the same test with the company that is criticising us. In fact compare them to Ufindus.com and check out the result and then ask them about how they justify their fee!
